SYS: Update #13

So, recently I thought it would be nice to have a bigger challenge in the game by perhaps having Characters which are a tad stronger than the rest (like Nexa). This brings us to our new character of today's update who was hinted at the last time:

Depending on the circumstances of a match, Fujijo very well might be the second strongest character in the game as of this update. She is part of a new character class (I'll get into that in a bit) and has a lot of special abilities. Eventhough she isn't the strongest in a direct fight (she can still somewhat hold her own there), her abilities make it pretty easy for her to subdue her opponents on the actual map.

First of all, normally if you want to see the stats of someone before you want to attack them you need to build a Private Investigator's Office. Fujijo can always see said stats and doesn't have this requirement. 

She is also able to see hidden traps and disarm them without taking any harm. Eventhough at this moment Freddy is the only one who can lay down a trap, I am planning on making them a bigger gameplay mechanic in the future.

Fujijo also comes with her very own unique estate she can build, the Police Checkpoint:

They create some cash every round and a good amount of Zentra but their biggest special function is the fact that they will confiscate every combat card an enemy has when they have the misfortune of landing on one of these checkpoints. There is no limit as to how many checkpoints she can build so this can severerly affect everyone who wants to start fights and demolish buildings negatively.

The other new and strong gameplay feature about her is that she is part of a new character class, the so called N.I. State Security (In case you're not familiar with the lore, N.I. is the name of the city state the Sabi Yabi story takes place in). 

Characters who belong to this class are Federal Agents, Police etc. and are granted two special abilities:

- They are immune to Dark Alley Tiles.

- Eventhough players can still place a bounty on them, Contract Killers will not attack them.

The advantages of this are obvious and grants them the ability to move across the map with way more freedom than other characters have. 

I would like to experiment a bit with character classes in the future and maybe add more! :3

Next up: I think its been a while since any new maps have been added, so lastly for this update we have a new 6 Player Map called the "Moonlight Festival". I went all out on this one!

This is a pretty big and complex map and from the tests I did on it, It takes around a good hour for a match to come to its end if you play it with all player slots filled up! Property prices are a bit up there, but there's lots to buy so you can go all out and build a good amount of stuffs!

  • Added the ability for custom characters to see stats of enemies without needing to build a Private Investigator's office first.
  • Added "Police Checkpoint" as a new buildable estate.
  • Added "Moonlight Festival" as a new 6 Player Map.
