SYS: Update #11
Hello everyone!
The newest patch for SYS has been completed and is now out, ready for download. Patrons can download this new content from here:
So, seeing as the last update added some major new content and gameplay features to the game, I thought that for this update I'd expand upon the game customization aspect of SYS to improve the gameflow / give players the options to better finetune some rules more to their liking.
Once the newest patch has been applied and you hit the "PLAY" button and arrive at the match setup screen, you will notice that to the right where normally all of the options were, there's now only the difficulty and starting money options left. Beneath them, there's now a new button called "Rules".
There are too many match options now in the game to fit in that right area, so they now need their own screen. Clicking on this button will take you to said screen where you will find the old, familiar options as well as a bunch of new ones.
I will quickly rundown what type of new stuffs you can do with this newest update:
DIVIDENDS PAYOUT: This will allow you to set how much money players will get once they receive their dividends. It always used to be 2% of their total stocks values, but you can now in- or decrease this amount.
ALLOW FIGHT NIGHTS: Let's you dis- or enable the fight night expansion which I've just released with the last update.
FIGHT NIGHT TIMER: Determines how much turns need to pass before the next fight night starts.
HOME AP AMOUNT: Now this is a big one. With more and more activities being added to the game, the need for more Action Points quickly increased, too. You can now decide on how much AP everyone gets when they reach their home. Having more AP is great since you can accomplish more and quicker, but beware that this also goes for your opponents!
DISABLE ESTATES: Completely removes the building and upgrading aspect of the game so you can only focus on either getting Zentra or winning fights. Will replace 4 Sale tiles with other tiles randomly, so this option will also greatly change maps.
ESTATES AUTO REPAIR: If someone attacked your building, it will slowly repair itself again, just like your home. This process won't cost you any money.
REDUCE BUILDING TIMES: Every estate you construct will be ready and fully operational by the beginning of the next round.
LEVEL UP BONUS: If a character levels up, all of their HP will also be restored.
The last new option to discuss is probably my favourite one: Using custom backgrounds for maps. The game now comes with a "Custom Backgrounds" folder, plopping your own .png files into there will make the game recognize them and make them selectable in this options menu. This way you can use your own pictures as map backgrounds!
Needless to say, this can completely change the tone and atmosphere of a map!
Anyway, that's the most noteworthy stuff worth mentioning that this patch does! And lastly here a small sneak peek at what the next update will contain, muehehe!

- Added the option to enable or disable the Fight Nights expansion.
- Added the option to adjust the waiting time between Fight Night Matches.
- Added the option to adjust the amount of Dividends that will be paid out to players.
- Added the option to adjust the amount of Action Points a player receives when they arrive back at their home.
- Added the option to use custom background images instead of the map specific backgrounds.
- Added the option to disable all 4 Sale tiles, basically forcing players to win either via Zentra or Fights.
- Added the option to disable building times for estates.
- Added the option to enable bonuses for when a player gains a Rank-Up.
- The game will now save all of the advanced options such as Home Hitpoints and Dividends Timers between matches.
- Fixed a bug which would cause the game to hang up sometimes after the AI started an Auction. This wasn't an issue before but might have snuck its way into the game when I implemented the new Fight Night gameplay feature. :(
